There’s nothing like a blueberry mojito to cool down on a warm summer evening—especially when it’s made with fresh BC blueberries. Juicy, sweet, and loaded with antioxidants, these berries bring a burst of flavour to this refreshing twist on the classic cocktail.
INGREDIENTS
METHOD
Muddle
In a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass, combine the blueberries, mint, lime juice, and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush everything together. The goal is to release the juices and oils—don’t pulverize it.
Shake or Stir
Add the rum and a handful of ice. Shake well if using a shaker, or stir vigorously in a glass until chilled.
Pour and Top
Divide the mixture between two glasses filled with ice. Top with sparkling water and give it a quick stir.
Garnish and Serve
Add a few whole blueberries and a sprig of mint to each glass. Enjoy your berry good cocktail!
Tip: Want to make a mocktail version? Skip the rum and add a splash of blueberry juice or more lime for extra flavour.
